Specially designed to fit woodturning lathes |
It can be used for straight, diagonal, concave and convex turning work, as well
as for precision routing, drilling and ornamental work.
Its movable centre point allows you to turn and embellish rings.
It also can be used as an addition to the Avisera Compound slide.

The main parts are:
The bottom plate A that can be moved in X and Y directions of the lathe to suite different radius
points (concave and convex) and can be equipped
with different feed plates and a dividing plate with a
brake.
The linear bearing B that can be equipped with a
swivel head to hold a turning or router holder C for
routing or grinding.
The guide rollers assembly D can be moved in X and Y directions in order to link the operating wire
correctly.
The spindle dividing plate assembly E. |
The sphere diameter is adjusted by the feeder 7.

The sphere diameter is adjusted by the feeder 7. |
|
The spirals on the left are made with the feed disc
Ø 100mm
The spirals on the right are made with the feed disc
Ø 55 mm |
Sphere turning(convex) with the swivel turner.
The bottom plate A is centered under the sphere.
|
After sphere turning is done the same centre
position is used for routing or spiral routing. |
The dividing head E can be fitted on spindles with
MT 2 or 3. Note the Spindles need to be drilled to
allow a draw bar.
|
By integrating an index system with a brake You
can drill holes etc in any angle Both index plates
have 72 divisions (that is 5 deg. graduation
/increment).
This spiral is made with the feed disc Ø 100mm. |
For controlling the length of the cut mini brakes can
be used.
|
Inside cutting (concave) |
Outside cutting (convex) same centre point.
|
Precision length turnings/Precision cross turnings. |
Precision convex turnings external.
