The Avisera Compound Slide

This universal compound slide is specially designed to fit woodturning lathes. It can be used for ornamental works as well as for precision routing drilling and sphere turning.

The lower slide 1 can easily be positioned and locked at different angles.

The top slide 2 also can be locked in the front and rear position and at different angles.

The carriages for both linear slides can be locked in any position. They are equipped with
prestressed ball bearings whose corners run on hardened and ground shafts. This makes this design extremely easy to move, without play and insensitive to shavings.

The router and drill holder 3 is custom made to fit the lathe height (centre). It can be turned 360°.

The under plate 5 (for locking the cross slide) is custom made.

The top slide 2 has a quick movement 4 of 80 mm and a fine movement of 100 mm.
It can be moved quickly backwards and forwards along its shaft and clamped in position.
Handle gives a fine threaded adjustment of 100mm, precisely positioning the tool holder where it can be locked.

The quick movement can be used for positioning -hand routing and drilling.
